About Le bruit du silence
Maryline wants to talk about what happened to her but faces a world of indifference.
Le bruit du silence is a graduation film from école MoPA. After its release in 2023, the short film was showcased at 23 festivals around the world. The film won several awards, including the First Student Prize at Chilemonos, the Grand Student Prize at Animakom, and the 2024 BAFTA Student Film Award for Animation.
"A young woman struggles to express her experiences with violence. Wandering through dark rooms, spatial proportions become signs of oppressive powers. Patronizing faces, condescending words. Here, patriarchal violence drowns in the swamp of bureaucracy, only to resurface yet again."
